Summary: 

The Software .Net Developer at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our IT Development team, supporting efforts to maintain and enhance our legacy systems critical to business operations. This position involves developing, maintaining, and supporting our in-house applications and is ideal for someone who is technically adept, detail-oriented, and passionate about development.

Key Responsibilities:

1: Application Development:
  • Develop, modify, and enhance in-house software applications.
  • Write, test, and deploy software modifications to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with other developers and IT staff to design and implement new features.
2: Support Application Issues:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner to ensure system stability.
  • Troubleshoot, identify and fix application bugs
3Collaboration and Support:
  • Work closely with business analysts and users to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other IT team members.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Perform analysis needed to support the multiple areas of the business in their day-to-day use of the application
  • Provide information by answering questions and requests
  • Follow IT change management process
4: Adhere to Company Standards:

  • Manage multiple project priorities to successfully deliver solutions to our business owners within defined timelines

  • Support the systems afterhours as part of the on-call rotation
  • Ability to collaborate with the Solutions Architect on projects that span multiple technologies and systems
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in computer software development.
  • Understanding of software development life cycle.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the food processing or manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of modern programming practices and methodologies.
