As the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will partner with the Corporate AP Manager to assist with the supervision of Pacific Seafood's Accounts Payable team. The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining and creating vendor payment files, and adhering to full cycle Accounts Payable GAAP. This role requires critical thinking and the ability to work cross-functionally with all departments throughout the organization to drive overall process improvements. A successful candidate must have the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and teamwork) and always promote teamwork.
  • Intercompany Invoices.
  • Full cycle A/P, matching, vouchering, and GL coding.
  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies.
  • Responsible for ensuring all payables are posted in time for end close.
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices. Utilizes computerized accounting software programs (AS400, Excel, and Word) to perform duties and responsibilities.
  • Responsible for reviewing Accounts Payable Aging reports and oversees coding and posting invoices.
  • Maintains vendor relationships.
  • Organizes and maintains retention AP files for required period.
  • Assisting and training new and current team members on best AP practices in AS400.
  • Vendor compliance – new vendor set ups.
  • ACH Setup in banking portal.
  • Daily ACH Recon.
  • Assist with generating reporting for 1099 vendors.
  • Assist with outstanding check log.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:
Required
  • 4+ years of large company, full-cycle AP experience
  • 2+ years of supervision experience
  • Strong experience with vendor maintenance, 1099 process, disbursements, etc.
  • Very strong with using technology to streamline the AP work
  • Strong leadership skills

Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field
  • Experience in automated AP processes
  • Experience working with GAAP and accounting software programs
