Summary:

The Regional Recruiter partners with the Team Member Services Department, the recruiting team, and local hiring managers to develop sourcing strategies to attract high caliber candidates to build Pacific Seafood’s high performing, passionate, and innovative teams. You will collaborate with the recruiting team to align organization, HR, and Marketing strategies to meet social media recruitment initiatives and achieve talent acquisition goals. You are an adept recruiter who will build Pacific Seafood’s local presence in their respective communities, source candidates through online social media networking tools or local events, promote Pacific Seafood’s employer of choice brand, and build and maintain relationships online to proactively fill the talent pipeline. 


As a team member, you are skilled at building positive relationships across multiple departments, working collaboratively to communicate tasks, implement changes, improve business performance, and resolve issues. 

As the Regional Recruiter, you are responsible for filling roles between processing plants, maintaining an accurate ATS, assisting with social media, targeted hiring event, among other duties.
 

Key Responsibilities: 
 

  • Lead the full cycle recruitment process including requisition approval, job advertising, social media utilization, candidate sourcing, application review, candidate screening, hiring manager briefing, interview strategy and offer process. 
  • Develop relationships with local community hubs in order to raise awareness of opportunities available in the fishing industry and Pacific Seafood while proactively addressing specific barriers facing potential jobseekers. 
  • Participate in specific training and employment outreach initiatives with organizations such as Worksource, local unemployment offices, various local businesses, community centers and other work program providers to create new opportunities for Pacific. 
  • Establish and continually develop various applicant sourcing methods through active and passive recruiting; implement creative recruiting resources to attract qualified professionals by researching and contacting employment agencies, external recruiters, direct messaging, local/regional media, industry focused job-boards, etc. and maintaining ongoing rapport. 
  • Collaborate with Team Member Services, the recruiting team, and hiring managers to build relationships, identify workforce patterns, trends and department/division needs in a multi-state, multi-location environment. 
  • Understand candidate needs and successfully close candidates; partner with Team Member Services and hiring managers to ensure a high degree of professionalism when generating and negotiating complex offers that potentially involve pre-closing, competitive offers, multifaceted total compensation plans, and equity to understand what resonates with candidates and compels them to choose Pacific Seafood. 
  • Coordinate and attend school functions and after school functions to host information sessions, career fairs, mentorship programs, and conduct candidate interviews as needed. (secondary & post-secondary levels) 
  • Collaborate with Marketing department and recruiting team to create employer branding content and social media initiatives, ensuring proper alignment with other company communication and branding campaigns. 
  • Ensure that every candidate has an exceptional and inclusive experience; engage and cultivate relationships with all candidates to fill current requisitions and prepare for future needs by building and cultivating talent pipelines. 
  • Maintain and promote EEOC compliance during recruitment and hiring processes. 
  • Perform other duties, as assigned. 

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood: 

Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of recruiting experience, managing recruitment efforts in a multi-state, multi-location environment.  
  • Experience leading successful recruitment campaigns. 
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time or more, as required. 
  • Minimum 1-year high volume hiring experience. 
  • Minimum 1-year multi-location, multi-requisition experience. 
  • Must be willing to work in the office at our Newport, OR location. 

Preferred:

  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, or related field. 
  • Previous recruiting experience in a manufacturing, food production, or distribution environment. 
  • Previous experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); preferably with Ultimate Software (UltiPro). 
  • Experience working in the seafood industry a plus. 
  • Bilingual – Spanish preferred. 

Salary Range: $65,000 to $90,000 annually
