Summary: 

As the Production Manager, you will oversee and monitor all phases of the production process. You will be responsible for managing the production activities of the plant, while following established procedures and approved processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop schedules and capacity requirements to achieve shipment goals
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that company goals are achieved
  • Maximize productivity and improve production flexibility with cross-training programs
  • Meet on-time delivery, quality objectives and shipment targets
  • Monitor efficiency on production floor and create strategic plans to improve plant operations
  • Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply
  • Identify customer requirements and communicate them to team members
  • Collaborate to improve plant productivity and increase efficiency
  • Identify and resolve process issues as they arise
  • Lead operational excellence within a plant environment
  • Monitor production inputs and outputs to minimize product loss and ensure all product orders are produced on time.
  • Ensure H.A.C.C.P. AND S.S.O.P.’S are met and rigorously enforce standards of sanitation and product handling
  • Liaison between external customers and interact with the Sales Department
  • Promote and enhance a positive labor/management relationship with an emphasis on teamwork and employee involvement
  • Ensure production reporting is accurate and timely, including weights and lot tracing information
  • Monitor plant expenditures and budgets and track production costs, when needed
  • Ensure adequate training is provided for employees in specific work tasks to reduce or eliminate the risk of workplace injuries
  • Ensure the safe operation of machinery and equipment
  • Ensure that employees work in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures
  • Maintain vendor relationships by meeting performance standards
  • Perform other duties, as assigned

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

Required

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent
  • Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university
  • Experience in the utilization of food processing equipment in sanitation and food safety
  • Experience in the safe operation of fork lifts and powered pallet jacks
  • Knowledge of HACCP, SOP’s and CoOL Act
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word and Excel and AS400.
  • Experience working with and creating budgets
Salary  $$64,277 to $79,704
