Summary:

As an Outside Sales Representative for Pacific Seafood’s Shellfish product line, you will exemplify excellence in customer service and support the strategic operational development of the customer base. The position involves a high level of customer interaction and account maintenance and generation, as well as follow-through on the movement of product and monitoring of sales.  This position is ideal for someone who is customer-focused, adaptable and has a growth mindset.  

Key Responsibilities:

1. Account Management 

  • Generate own leads, as well as excellent follow-up on company furnished accounts.  
  • Initiate and control sales processes with new clients.  
  • Provide guidance, assistance and service to customers.  
  • Reviewing shipping details for accuracy with comparison of Bills of Lading and customer purchase orders 

2. Sales Performance Monitoring  

  • Sell products at maximum profit margin with consideration given to current market pressures and sound understanding of competitors' position. Initiate and control sales processes with new clients.  
  • Negotiate contracts applying established company pricing standards. Customer presentations, emphasizing product value and benefits 
  • Monitor sales volumes, distribution margins and related measurements.  
  • Create, maintain and execute a successful territory sales plan.  

3. Additional Duties 

  • Attend and actively participate in all sales meetings.  
  • Communicate and support administrative personnel in keeping customers within credit terms. Create, maintain and execute a successful territory sales plan.  
  • Report variances with corrective actions to the Sales Manager once per period.  
What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

Required:
  • High school diploma or GED. 
  • A minimum of 3-5 years retail, or perishable food sales experience.  
Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in related field from an accredited college or university. 
  • Seafood/protein work experience.  

Salary Range: $65,000 to $68,000 per year plus COMMISSION!!
