Summary:
Post payments to the proper customer account by identifying accounts and entering all payments received into the computer system according to departmental procedures and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving, verifying, processing and maintaining all payments and adjustments in a timely manner
- Processing daily deposits into system
- Ensure daily cash reconciliation
- Research and correct account overpayments and account credits
- Input various data entry items
- Identify payment problems
- Balance month-end cash
- Enters debit/credit adjustments, transfers, and negative balance report adjustments into the computer system
- Research unresolved accounts
- Assists in training of new staff and cross-training of current staff
- Sorts and distributes incoming requisitions
- Analyze any credit accounts to determine if a refund should be issued
- Check-in routes
- Write up bank deposit and take to bank
- Filing
- Copy checks
- Balance deposit summary sheet
- Perform multi-step, detailed job tasks, retain the information found and make decisions using that information
- Perform other duties, as assigned
What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:
Required
- Associate’s degree in related field
- Two years related experience or training
- Must know 10-key, account reconciliation, and accounting basics
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Experience with accounts receivable
- Strong Computer skills in MS Office Suite, primarily Word and Excel
Salary Range: $ 18.90 - $21.08 hourly
