Summary:

As the Sales Specialist II for Pacific Seafood’s Aquaculture product line, you will exemplify excellence in customer service and support the strategic operational development of the customer base. The position involves a high level of customer interaction and account maintenance and generation, as well as follow through on the movement of product and monitoring of sales.  This position is ideal for someone who is customer-focused, adaptable and has a growth mindset. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Account Management:

  • Assist in delivering accurate and timely customer bids and quotes to meet customer needs. Ensure you are supporting customer audits when required and meeting relevant standards and remaining in compliance. Aid in customer presentations as necessary, emphasizing product value and benefits. Continually reviewing shipping details for accuracy with comparison of Bills of Lading and customer purchase orders. Coordinate, pack, and track customer product samples to facilitate effective follow-up. 
  • KPIs: Target a 3.5 in periodic customer service survey (1 to 5 scale with 1 as strong dissatisfaction and 5 as strong satisfaction). 

2. Sales Performance Monitoring:

  • Develop sales strategies, including warm and cold calling, to engage and rejuvenate underserviced or inactive accounts. Perform manual tracking of fresh sales and production activity until the implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Work with category manager to generate leads by creating call sheets for self and team members to optimize outreach and prospecting efforts. 
  • KPIs: Actual sales versus projections (%) 

3. Primary Duty:

  • Coordination of D.C. and outside sales orders to align with harvest and production capacities.  Lead production management between the farm harvest; sales forecast, and update the sales plan weekly.  Maintain frozen inventories to support sales plan.  Facilitate the setup of new customers and ensure completion of the process. Handle, book, and monitor ground and air freight for key customers, proactively tracking shipments and addressing any issues such as missing trucks or late deliveries. Notify relevant parties promptly of any status updates. 
  • KPIs: Fill rate (orders entered versus orders shipped); Aged inventory below 12 months (lbs. And $) 

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Valid Driver License 
  • Requires ability to travel up to 15% of the time 

Preferred:

  • Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in culinary arts, aquaculture, or business degree
