Summary

The Production Planner Scheduler is responsible for contributing to the optimization of our production processes, enhance our supply chain efficiency, and play a crucial part in our commitment to delivering high-quality products to our customers. The Production Planner Scheduler will play a key role as the bridge between category managers and processing plants, ensuring a smooth flow of information and effective coordination between sales demands and production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate SAP forecasts by product groups or SKU.
  • Build and maintain production plans aligned with forecasts and demand plans.
  • Load planned independent requirements as needed for daily and weekly activities.
  • Execute and monitor Material Requirements Planning (MRP) globally and for our plants.
  • Manage the conversion of planned orders to production orders from MRP.
  • Create, modify, release, and monitor production orders plants daily and throughout the day.
  • Review completed production orders for issues and address them promptly.
  • Analyze inventory by product category and warehouse locations.
  • Run customer-specific and internal inventory projection reports for Sales and Sales Operations.
  • Analyze supply needs to reduce excess inventory and collaborate with the sales team strategies.
  • Recommend and monitor inventory targets (Safety Stock) and adjust production orders as needed.
  • Ensure batch inventory values are correctly maintained and resolved as required.
  • Manage work center capabilities based on feedback from operations at sites.
  • Collaborate with Category Managers to intake demand and forecast and load them into the system.
  • Coordinate with Buyers on material delivery dates from suppliers and ensure alignment with production schedules.
  • Communicate and coordinate inter/intra plant inventory transfers as necessary.
  • Work with transportation teams to align schedules with order completion.
  • Execute systems inventory transfers as needed, including packaging and supplies.
  • Use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor capacity by work center and to track on-time shipping percentages.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two – four years of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of refrigerated and dry cargo movement.
  • Familiar with shipment terms.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Previous experience using ERP/MRP systems in a production environment.

Pay Range: $68,134 - $84,486 Annually
