Summary:

The Systems Engineer at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our IT team supporting efforts to provide our team members with access to a plethora of Computer Systems with exceptional up time, operational resilience and secure access. This position involves a deep understanding of many standard business systems and is ideal for someone who is curious, driven, motivated and detail oriented.


Key Roles and Responsibilities: 

Manage System Environment
  • Architect, Deploy, Manage and Optimize our Telco Systems
  • Architect, Deploy, Manage and Optimize our Physical Servers
  • Architect, Deploy, Manage and Optimize our Virtual Servers and Hosts
  • Architect, Deploy, Manage and Optimize our Telco Systems
  • Research, Introduce and or integrate new technologies into our Environment
  • Oversee and Manage concerns related to our Data Centers
Administer our Domains and Services
  • Manage, Modify and Improve our Active Directory Domain
  • Manage, Modify and Improve our Microsoft 365 Environment
  • Manage Core enterprise-wide services and functions including email, document storage, File share, FTP
  • Provide Support related to the environment representing your area(s) of expertise including Policy Planning, Education and Guidance
Secure our Environment
  • Manage, Patch and Update Systems under your purview
  • Backup, Replicate and Secure Data Stored and Transported under your purview
  • Help Design, Support, Test and Validate both DR and Business Continuity Concerns
Monitor, Improve and Document Systems
  • Ensure Monitoring, Reporting and other concerns related to Systems are covered
  • Provide Documentation of all Systems under your purview as well as continuous updates
  • Ensure Logging, Alerting and similar concepts are covered over systems under your purview
  • Audit Systems for compliance, patch level, OS version, threat protection and overall health status
  • Investigate Issues and provide technical feedback to team members questions and concerns
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

Required:
  • Experience with cloud-based SaaS telecom systems (Ring Central preferred).
  • Minimum of seven years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education, industry certification, and experience.
  • Requires a strong working knowledge of VMware and Microsoft-based enterprise environments including Windows Server Operating Systems, PowerShell scripting, SCCM, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and GPOs.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related field.
