Summary: 

The Human Resources Manager at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our admin team supporting efforts the organization's overall success by ensuring compliance, overseeing admin functions, providing onboarding support, managing performance, fostering employee engagement, maintaining positive employee relations, analyzing data, assisting team members and leadership with benefits and leave needs, and maintaining records. This position involves performance management, data analysis, and managing relationships with employees and is ideal for someone who is adaptable, able to build positive relationships, analytical, and organized.  

Key Responsibilities:

1. Human Resources Management:  

  • Partner with leadership and HR in the operating group to develop site-specific strategies, programs, policies, procedures, and guidelines to drive standardization throughout the team and ensure compliance with safety requirements, the Team Member handbook, and local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.  
  • Prepare and maintain accurate team member personnel files and employee data within company HRIS system; including personal data, job and comp data, time and attendance, workers compensation, Form I-9 verification records, and confidential documents.  
  • Administer Corporate benefit programs and facilitate monthly and annual enrollment process.  
  • Consistently apply appropriate judgment and discretion in the handling of sensitive and/or confidential information.  
  • Manage time keeping system, bi-weekly payroll processing, including new hire set up in UKG, training team members on timecard procedures and approval processes for Supervisors. Escalate issues to division HR manager/leadership, as appropriate.  
  • Work with Division HR and site leadership to conduct investigations, generate corrective documentation, and ensure all team member conduct issues and conflicts are resolved.  
  • Work closely with Division Recruiting team to organize and execute hiring events, attend job fairs, conduct interviews, and process new hires.  
  • Administer new hire orientation and provide all necessary documents to leadership for new team members.  
  • KPIs: Accurate, timely, zero error payroll processing. Team member records maintained correctly in accordance with policy. Engagement and service award events regularly held. Orientation implemented and maintained for all team members.  

2. Administrative Duties:  

  • Answer telephone inquiries; take and relay messages and greet visitors.  
  • Where necessary, maintain records of office equipment, supplies and company devices, ensuring cost efficiency.  
  • Ensure all necessary hardware and software is ordered from IT for new team members, or replaced for existing team members.  
  • Work with IT team to troubleshoot and resolve access issues, software updates, and ensure all unused equipment is returned in a timely manner.  
  • Assist with administrative tasks where necessary or as time allows.  
  • KPIs: Accurate maintenance of financial records for the location/other locations as needed. Assist with admin as needed.  

3. Operations Group support 

  • Reconcile and track credit card transactions, budget, and general ledger, when needed.  
  • Assist with travel needs and logistics for leaders.  
  • Work with onsite coordinator to ensure workers comp issues are addressed and resolved.  

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position. 

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

Required:

  • Associates degree from an accredited college or university in related field.
  • Minimum of five years related Human Resources experience.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
  • Previous HR experience in a manufacturing, processing, or distribution environment.
  • Bilingual written, verbal, and reading skills in English and Spanish languages
  • PHR/SHRM certification

Salary Range: $88,600 to $90,000 per year
