Sales Support Specialist I - Distribution

Summary:
Maximize company revenue through outstanding customer support and logistics. Interface between customers and production management to ship orders in a timely manner to maximize customer satisfaction. Find alternative shipping processes to economically, efficiently and effectively ship product. Responsible for achieving the sales/logistics goals established by the sales manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assigned accounts and assist in day-to-day operations of the sales force and all customers, Increase sales through regular contact with our existing customer base.
- Identify customer needs and meeting product/shipping requirements.
- Ensure customer satisfaction with outstanding customer service and establish creative approaches to solving customer issues.
- Facilitate positive and productive business relationships.
- Understand budget and forecast revenue goals.
- Additionally, understand sales volumes and logistic options
- Inspect orders shipping out of South Bend 3x/week
- Meet and work to exceed sales quotas.
- Involvement with miscellaneous projects, including promotional items and marketing materials.
- Communicate inventory, sales, and packaging strategies to team members. Move with a sense of urgency.
- Support outside Sales reps (Credits, Sample requests, POS, Etc.). Interface with other shellfish sales associates in other plants.
- Answer Phones and able to clear orders.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license.
- Requires ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
Preferred:
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from an accredited college or university in culinary arts, aquaculture, or business degree.
