Summary: 
As an Operations Excellence Specialist, you will focus on assigned strategic initiatives and projects throughout the company. You will be a key member of driving operational efficiency, digital transformation, and quality enhancement across processing production and administrative functions. You will bring strong project management skills, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of operational workflows. Additionally, you will be involved and have access to sensitive business data, proprietary systems, and internal strategic initiatives. Strict confidentiality is required at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Coordination and Management:
  • Partner in end-to-end acquisition and operational launch of new facilities, including site selection, budgeting, stakeholder alignment, and timeline management.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate existing workflows and design data-driven solutions.
  • Standardize best practices across departments and establish governance frameworks for process ownership and accountability.
  • Provide project management support for key initiatives, including resource planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
2. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Develop comprehensive reports, including project summaries, data visualizations, and ROR analyses for stakeholders.
  • Understanding of cost drivers, financial KPI’s, and variance analysis. Ability to analyze trends, identify inefficiencies, and recommend corrective actions to improve profitability.
  • Proficiency in using financial data to influence strategic decisions. Ability to translate operational performance metrics into financial impact reports.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and performance indicators to monitor finance operations metrics
3. Process Improvement and Change Management:
  • Partner in end-to-end process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile methodologies to increase operational efficiency.
  •  Manage the evaluation, selection, and implementation of operational technologies, including production monitoring systems, traceability software, and ERP platforms.
  • Support post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement project life cycles to refine and optimize processes over time.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements, and best practices across operational processes.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.

What you Bring to Pacific Seafood:

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in operations excellence, continuous improvement, or business process management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams etc.)
  • Good written and spoken English language
  • Requires 20-40% travel

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Information Systems, or related field
  • Proficient in data analytics tools (Power BI, SQL) and process mapping software (Visio)
  • Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP or MS Dynamics)
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Bilingual

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually
