Summary: 

To develop and grow sales with new and existing retail accounts. Responsible for managing all aspects of retail sales. Manage the day-to-day activities of the retail sales staff. Manage all ad activity and key account contacts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and foster teamwork at all times using learned skills and company-support performance management tools and training and development programs.
  • Monitor, manage and track sales, margins and retail sales expenses.
  • Provide information for setting of all ads to conventional retail customers throughout Oregon distribution.
  • Supervise and direct retail sales team to ensure individual and department goals are met.
  • Manage budgeted sales and gross profit budgets.
  • Monitor and enforce policies, procedures, and service standards for department, meeting company-defined standards and maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Manage customer base to achieve targeted D & F percentages.
  • Support D & F item managing to attain branch targets.
  • Monitor sales results by account and chain.
  • Improve business processes to maximize efficiencies of the retail sales team.
  • Understand and take advantage of competitor’s strengths and weaknesses. 
  • Give presentations to customers about company product line offerings. 
  • Handle key customer's calls relating to accounts, orders, complaints, new business, etc. 
  • Inform executive staff of sales trends within own region. 
  • Work closely with buyers to manage retail ad fill rates while minimizing exposure to shrink.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of the company's products and educate retail sales staff as to product features.
  • Train sales staff, as needed.
  • Attend sales and manager’s meetings and training program.
  • Coordinate with customers, operations, outside sales, and sales representatives. 
  • Oversee and strategize accounts with individual recruiters. 
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

Required

  • Minimum of five years in the food/retail industry
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Preferred

  • Minimum of three years’ experience directly managing a sales team
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in related field
  • Cube Reporting Knowledge
